Dubbing
Dubbing
Dubbing is the practice of replacing the dialogue tracks from the original audio with a new track in the desired language, where the talent of our translators, adapters, actors, directors, technicians and audio engineers is combined.
Audio adaptation can be performed thru lip sync or voice-over.
-
- Lip sync: The synchronization of lip movement with the original voice. This way, translation is adapted, always true to the script so the syllables synchronize in the best possible way and, therefore, simulate the speech or singing in the original language, which allows us to perceive interventions in a more natural fashion.
- Voice-Over: Production technique known as voice over. It is usually used in audiovisual content where there is a person giving a testimonial narrative. Once the testimonial starts, the volume of the original voice is lowered to allow the actor’s voice in the local language to overlap it as a type of dubbing, but neither lip synchronization, nor the complete absence of the original character’s voice is necessary.
Subtitle Projection or Surtitling
Subtitle Projection or Surtitling
Subtitle Projection in real time over a screen, usually used in film festivals, opera, theatre, performing arts, etc.
-
- These subtitles are sent through a projector to an additional screen, thus the main video is not altered by any modification nor by embedded subtitles.
- Subtitle projection is performed by an operator, who guarantees accurate synchrony.
- Another advantage is the ability to adjust the subtitles regarding its color and size.
Closed Captioning (CC)
Closed Captioning (CC)
Hidden subtitles for live television or recorded audiovisual contents, which are adapted for persons with hearing impairments. Dialogues are subtitled in the original language, speakers are identified, sounds and intonation are described.
Recorded shows: Previously recorded audiovisual content, ready for transmission. For this type of shows, we receive the working material and subtitles are made before its transmission.
Live shows: -Our team of experts in live-captioning creates the subtitles in real time during live broadcasts such as newscasts, talk shows, sports, cultural events and others. -This service is carried out at our facilities and the subtitles are sent through IP to an encoder located at the broadcaster facilities. -With this service, people with hearing impairments will have the opportunity to follow the message. -The audience will always have the last decision of activating or deactivating these subtitles from their television controller or Internet digital platform. -Subtitles are metadata on the video, therefore, they will not affect such broadcast in any way. -This service is also very useful in loud environments.
